Geocomposite Mattress with Hexagonal Mesh： is a composite geotextile ecological slope protection material. The 3D polypropylene porous mat is thermally extruded and bonded onto Galfan-coated hexagonal double-twisted steel wire mesh. The metal mesh acts as the reinforcement skeleton, while the 3D plastic layer functions to retain soil, hold planting medium, preserve seeds, dissipate energy and resist scouring.

Structural Composition

1. Base skeleton: Hexagonal double-twisted steel wire mesh (mainly Galfan coating; galvanized or PVC-coated options are also available). It provides high tensile strength (typically around 35 kN/m, high-strength version up to 50 kN/m). This is the key difference from ordinary 3D geonets.

2. Surface 3D polypropylene mat: Featuring irregular three-dimensional pores, available in black/green/brown. It traps topsoil and grass seeds, permits water percolation, dissipates flow energy, and allows grass roots to penetrate and grow.

Core Functions

- Initial stage: Before grass germination, it resists rain and runoff erosion, stabilizes sprayed planting medium and prevents loss of slope soil.

- Mature stage: Once vegetation is fully established, plant roots together with the steel mesh form a composite protective layer with excellent flow resistance, capable of withstanding water velocity of 3–6 m/s for short periods.

- Flexible and permeable. Slope seepage can drain freely to reduce hydraulic pressure. It is designed for ecological restoration rather than rigid hard slope protection.
