1. Structure (Two-Layer Composite)

1.1 Surface Three-Dimensional Geomat

• Material: UV-resistant PP monofilament, thermally bonded, with porosity > 90%.

• Structure: Flexible, fluffy, three-dimensional open structure, suitable for soil filling and plant rooting.

1.2 Internal Reinforcement Layer

• Mainstream: Twisted hexagonal steel wire mesh (mild steel / galvanized / Galfan coated / PVC coated), complying with EN 10223-3.

• Alternative: High-strength polymer geogrid for corrosion-resistant environments.

• Function: Provides high tensile strength and significantly improves the overall stability of slopes.

2. Core Functions & Principles

• Initial erosion control: The geomat directly resists rain erosion and runoff impact to prevent topsoil loss.

• Soil fixation & grass planting: The pores are filled with nutrient soil; plant roots penetrate the geomat and reinforcement layer to form an integrated "mesh–soil–root" system for long-term slope stabilization.

• Reinforcement & stability: Steel wire mesh / geogrid restricts soil deformation and disperses stress, suitable for high-risk scenarios such as steep slopes (≥45°), high-velocity channels, and subgrade slopes.
